Search the register
The LPST case number, the TCEQ facility number, or the first words of the site name.
What comes back
A facility, not a row. Every leak case recorded at that facility, with its status and dates, and every storage tank registered there, with what it holds. The Commission publishes those in two separate files; the search joins them on the facility number.
All 29,830 cases are loaded, closed ones included — a closed case returns as closed, with its date, rather than as nothing found.
Nothing is searched on our servers: the index is a set of static files and the lookup runs in your browser, which is why a result has no address of its own and cannot be indexed as a page about a property.
⚠️ What a blank does not mean
- Not a clean site. This covers petroleum storage tanks only. A site can be contaminated by something else entirely and leave no trace here.
- Not the absence of a tank. A tank that was never registered is not in the file.
- Not an assessment. A phase i environmental site assessment under astm e1527 — the search required by the federal all appropriate inquiries rule (40 cfr part 312) before a buyer can claim the landowner liability protections that cercla offers goes further than a records search, by design.
